Let me
start of by saying how absolutely incredible the Litchfield National Park is!
Its packed of amazing adventures waiting for you at every turn, all you need is
the willingness to explore and the park has everything from stunning
landscapes, waterfalls, rivers and creeks, springs, pool and a wide range of
fauna and flora.
It’s been
week one of my holiday up in the great Australian outback and I have already
experienced so many incredible adventures. But instead of me rambling on about
every detail I just want to speak about the one place that stood out to me in
the past few days. Which is the Buley Rockhole and Florence falls. But although
both these places were breathtaking, I’m not completely honest in saying they
were my favorite. In fact my favorite place so far was in between the both of
them, I hidden treasure.
There is a
short 2km walk in between Buley Rockhole and Florence fall and this is where
one of the most amazing rock pools and waters falls are hidden away, or at
least the ones I’ve ever seen. There were different pools at different heights
as the water crept down through all the rocks. Parts were deep, deep enough to
jump of the bank, others were shallow for a more relaxed feel.
The best
part of all... we were the only ones there, we had the whole thing to
ourselves!
Don’t get
me wrong Buley Rockhole and Florence falls were stunning but were also quite
crowded which destroyed being able to take in the nature that surrounded you.
It just shows that all you need to do is get off the dirt track every now and
then and explore, and you can find the most surreal places of which you didn’t think
were possible.
Have you
ever visited somewhere that took your breath away? Somewhere so incredible that
you never want to leave?
xx Vanessa
