Bullet Journaling

I'm not the organised type, and that is an understatement. I'm probably the least organised person you'll meet. Always running late, always forgetting things, my heads always in another place - up in the clouds. So when I came across the idea of a bullet journal, I realized it could really help me get me life organised. I'm always having crazy ideas but I seem to constantly be forgetting them because i don't have anywhere to write them down, keep them safe, whether they be; a blog post idea or a new adventure idea.
The difference between a normal diary and a bullet journal is a bullet journal is more of a planner, a combination of to do lists, ideas, memories, special dates, logs and lots more. A bullet journal can be anything you want it to be, you can write down absolutely anything and everything, the things you really don't want to forget.
To set up my bullet journal I used the video below, I found it very helpful in setting up the layout for my own bullet journal. I've never wrote a bullet journal before but I have attempted writing in a diary as I'm sure many of you have, this resulted in about 3 entries and then giving up. I am committed to staying committed to my bullet journal because I know that it will help me in so many ways. Its like a second mind, something to remember everything that I need to remember so I can focus on other more important things.
Honestly I'm not going to be taking my bullet journal to school, I would be to afraid to lose it, or to have it stolen. I need to come up with a method so that when I'm at school and I think of something I need to write down I can keep it until I get home. I will most likely write it on  my hand but then again the whole point of a bullet journal is so I no longer have to do that so maybe I should just take it to school.

I didn't make a big effort to go to the shop to by a new book for my bullet journal. I just used one lying around from one of my last attempts of keeping a journal. The diary is a light peachy colour all over with the word 'journal' printed on the front, it also has a piece of elastic the wraps around it which I find is so helpful for keeping it all together and also to attach a pen. If your going to look for a journal I would recommend buying one with the bit of elastic.
Also there is no need to go but the most expensive journal you can find, mine was from Kmart and probably cost less then $10.00 by all means if you are really into journaling and want to treat yourself to a nice leather journal or something go for it! but if your a beginner (like me) I would recommend proving to yourself first of all that you can stay committed to your bullet journal before you waste your money on an expensive diary.

If my bullet journal works out well I might consider doing a post showing you how I layout and use my bullet journal.

Thankyou for reading! Vanessa xx
